Carrier Clinic® Announces VP, Directors For Nursing, Social Services, and Addiction Recovery Services

Carrier Clinic®, an NJ psychiatric hospital and recovery center, is pleased to announce the appointment of several new clinical leaders in the organization.

Shaun Sweeney, MSN, RN-BC, of Monmouth Junction, NJ was recently promoted to Vice President & Chief Nursing Officer of Carrier Clinic. He previously held the position of Assistant Vice president of Patient Care Services for three years. Sweeney received his Masters of Science in Nursing, Administration of Healthcare Facilities, at Benedictine University, in Lisle, Illinois. He is Board Certified in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing and holds a certificate in Six Sigma Black Belt- Healthcare, from Villanova University.

Steven J. Drzewoszewski, MSW, LCADC, LSW of Manville, NJ was appointed as Director of Blake Recovery Center™, after serving as Acting Director for eleven months. Previously, Mr. Drzewoszewski held the position of Intensive Outpatient Program Coordinator. He earned his Master’s in Social Work at the University of Southern California. He is a New Jersey Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC), Licensed Social Worker (LSW), and Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS).

Mindy Altschul, LCSW, joined the organization in November as the Director of Clinical Social Services. Prior to her appointment at Carrier Clinic, Ms. Altschul held the positions of Director, Substance Abuse Services, at Trinitas Regional Medical Center in Elizabeth NJ, and Director of Practice Management at Princeton House Behavioral Health. Ms. Altschul completed her Masters of Science in Social Work from Columbia University. She is a New Jersey Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Clinical Supervisor, Registered Yoga Teacher and holds a Lean Six-Sigma Yellow Belt certificate.
