Carrier Clinic accepts award as a ‘Good Neighbor’ business

Donald J. Parker, CEO & president of Carrier Clinic®, accepts the New Jersey Business & Industry Association’s “Good Neighbor Award” at the 58th annual competition luncheon held on July 17 at the New Jersey State Aquarium in Camden. Parker is joined by Matt Wright, an NJBIA trustee and president and COO of Piper Holdings, LLC, and Michele Siekerka, president and CEO of NJBIA.

The annual Good Neighbor awards are a celebration of forward-looking, environmentally responsible economic development. Carrier, a nonprofit Central Jersey behavioral health and recovery center located in Belle Mead, was awarded for embarking on a comprehensive $21 million building program to make the facility eco-friendly and durable as well as conducive to patients’ needs for recovery. It also addressed safety needs and reduced the cost of maintenance. The plan updated, expanded and/or modernized facilities in order to improve patient mental health services, meet staff needs, and improve patient and staff safety.
