It’s been a busy few weeks here at Carrier Clinic®! But there was no better way to celebrate Recovery Month or ramp up for Mental Health Awareness Week (October 7th-13th) than to host our 2nd Annual Walk of Hope on September 15th and our Addiction Conference for treatment professionals on September 21st.
Our Walk of Hope raised almost $20,000 and brought over 200 people onto our campus to fight stigma and help support and educate the 1 in 4 adults who are affected by Mental Illnesses every year.
Our Addiction Conference was also a successful event, with over 145 guests. Guest speakers included Dr. Susan Adubato from UMDNJ, Steven Liga, LSW, LCADC, CPS, CCS and Lindsay Rich, LCSW, from NCADD-Middlesex and Celina Grey from the Governor’s Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse.
Carrier Clinic® was pleased to present several speakers for the day as well: Elizabeth Hill, LCADC, Director of Blake Recovery Center™, Tim DiGanci, CADC, CCS, from East Mountain Youth Lodge, Debbie Metz, MA, CADC, from our Adolescent inpatient unit, and Steve Drzewoszewski, CADC, from our Addiction Intensive Outpatient Program.
If you attended the Walk of Hope or our Addiction Conference, please let us know what you thought!
