Helping Your Loved Ones
The caring professionals at Carrier Clinic, a Central Jersey behavioral health facility, realize the challenges and stress that burdens friends and family. They also understand the toll it takes on your lives when a loved one of any age faces emotional/behavioral distress, and/or psychiatric and addictive disorders.
If someone you care about-whether an adolescent, adult or older adult may be suffering, and is in need of professional help, we welcome you to call us anytime to initiate a conversation and provide us with background information on his or her behavior, so we can determine if our facilities and treatment are right for your loved one.
Please know, however, that we will ultimately need to speak directly to the individual to best evaluate the severity of the situation and assess if admission to our facility is needed.
Help For a Child
Carrier Clinic’s East Mountain School, a private NJ special education school, provides education in conjunction with counseling and residential services (based on the students needs) for children with behavioral, learning, or addiction disorders. Contact East Mountain School for more information about our services and enrollment.
We also offer free support programs specifically targeted toward helping children and parents deal with addiction in their family. Choose a support program to learn more.
Help For a Codependent Partner
In a codependent relationship, the two people involved are dependent on one another in an unhealthy way that is counterproductive to good mental health and/or addiction recovery. For the partner of the addicted person, they may mean well, but they disreguard their own needs at the expense of the their partners. For the addicted person, their partners’ enabling behavior can prevent them from facing up to their actions or seeking help. Read our white paper on What It Means to Be Codependent to learn more.
If you are in a codependent relationship, Carrier Clinic offers programs that can help.
