Carrier Clinic® hosts 30th Annual “Shatter the Stigma” Golf Classic to raise awareness for Mental Health and Addiction Illnesses.
Over eighty golfers attended Carrier Clinic®’s Golf Classic at Cherry Valley Country Club on June 20th to support the 106-year old non-profit behavioral healthcare facility in Belle Mead, NJ. The networking event raised approximately $56,000, and educated participants on how Carrier Clinic is meeting the mental health and addiction needs of the community with its recent construction and facility renovation project, financed in part by its Capital Campaign, which was launched in 2012.
Donald Parker, CEO of Carrier Clinic, an NJ psychiatric hospital and recovery center, thanked the golfers and sponsors of the event, including Advanced Health and Education, Fulton Bank, NK Architects, Sodexo, Bank of America, HCT Technologies, McCarter English, Perfect Connections Security Systems and Flemington Car & Truck Country, our hole in one sponsor, for their ongoing support. “We thank you for coming out to help ‘shatter the stigma.’ It’s important to realize that mental health and addiction illnesses can affect anyone—no one is immune. Together, with your support, we can make sure that not only is Carrier Clinic around for another 100 years, but that people will be able to feel good, and not stigmatized, about getting the help they need.”
